The monitoring device complies with the national standard HJ/T 100-2003 Technical Requirements for Permanganate Index Water Quality Automatic Analyzer, and can work continuously for a long time without human supervision according to on-site settings. It is suitable for surface water quality monitoring.

Add potassium permanganate solution and sulfuric acid solution to the sample, mix and digest. Potassium permanganate oxidizes organic pollutants in the sample, and the color of the water sample also changes. The monitor detects this color change and converts it into the value of permanganate index for output.
